Earn core and elective business credits in just four weeks this May through the Michigan Ross Maymester. These 1.5 and 3-credit online courses end three weeks sooner than the U-M Spring Term — and they aren't just for Ross students. Registration is open to all U-M juniors and seniors.

  • Dual degree students gain more flexibility scheduling BBA requirements

Course Details

Maymester courses will be held virtually and begin May 5 and end May 29, 2020. There will be seven class sessions per week, spread between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 pm. Due to scheduling constraints, students cannot take more than two courses concurrently.

BE 300 Business Economics
(3.0 credits for rising BBA juniors and seniors)

MKT 310 Sales Management
(3.0 credit BBA elective for rising juniors and seniors. Also meets Cappo Sales Track requirement.)

MKT 313 Consumer Behavior 
(3.0 credit BBA elective for rising juniors and seniors. Also meets Cappo Sales Track requirement.)

TO 420 Coding with Python
(1.5 credit BBA elective for rising juniors and seniors. Note no credit if SI 106 or 206, or EECS 183 or 485 has been completed.) 

You're welcome to pair Maymester courses with other U-M courses or experiences that fit your schedule. Keep in mind that the credit load for Spring Term is six credits and that other Spring Term courses are in session until mid-June.

Co-Curricular Programming

Maymester is meant to offer students a cohort experience. In addition to frequent course sessions, students can access virtual resources and programming from the Office of Undergraduate Programs and the Career Development Office.

How to Register

Registration will take place during U-M's Spring/Summer class registration. Ross BBA students will have registration appointments scheduled between April 6 and April 17, 2020. Note that this is the same registration window as for Fall 2020 classes. Your advisor is the best person to reach out to with questions about Maymester. 

Students who enroll in these courses will be eligible for financial aid. Please reach out to the Office of Financial Aid to apply.
