JUST IN: Michigan Ross Jumps to No. 7 in U.S. News Ranking of Best MBA Programs
The report from U.S. News also highlighted the breadth of incredibly strong academic areas at Michigan Ross. The school ranked in the top 10 in nine of the 10 specialty areas the publication evaluates.
Only one other school, Stanford, has as many or more specialty areas ranked in the top 10.
Michigan Ross placed in the top 10 in: Accounting (No. 4), Entrepreneurship (No. 7), Finance (No. 10), International (No. 5), Management (No. 3), Marketing (No. 4), Non-Profit (No. 5), Productions/Operations (No. 3), and Supply Chain (No. 6).
The annual ranking from U.S. News looks at a combination of assessments from peer schools and MBA hiring companies; the quality of incoming students; and the career outcomes of the most recent graduating class. Michigan Ross performed extraordinarily well across all of these metrics.
“We are excited to once again be ranked among the top 10 MBA programs in the country by U.S. News & World Report,” said Scott DeRue, Edward J. Frey Dean of Business. “This recognition is a testament to the extraordinary talent at Michigan Ross, our innovations in action-based learning, our partnerships with leading companies across the globe, and the most supportive alumni community in the world. We are developing leaders who have the character and capabilities to transform the world through business, and it’s an honor to be recognized among the very best in the world.”
The Michigan Ross Part-Time MBA Program and Executive MBA Program were each ranked No. 6 in this latest ranking, maintaining their positions from previous years.
This new ranking comes on the heels of the Ross BBA Program improving its rank in the U.S. News report examining undergraduate business programs — the Ross BBA Program was ranked No. 3 in that report late last year.
