There Are More Than A Dozen CEOs And Executives Visiting With Ross Students This Week

There are tons of reasons CEOs and leading business executives flock to Michigan Ross. And whether they’re coming to network, to find employees, to teach, to learn, or to invest money in the next great startup, the 15 CEOs and executives visiting Ross just this week alone are sure to find what they’re looking for.
The events that will bring business leaders to campus this week range from in-class discussions with students and faculty, to student-organized conferences and investment pitch competitions.
Here’s a look at who will be meeting with Ross students this week:
STEVE SANGER - Former CEO of General Mills
BRAD HIRANGA - VP at General Mills
Tuesday, October 10 @ 5pm
The two Michigan Ross alums will be presenting “How Marketing Creates Differential Leaders”. Open to the public.
MARK HURD - CEO OF ORACLE
Wednesday, October 11 @ 2:30pm
Mark will be meeting with students as part of the Entrepreneurial Turnaround Management course taught by Bill Hall and Jeff Sinclair.
STEVE CASE - CEO OF REVOLUTION, LLC
TIGE SAVAGE - CO-FOUNDER OF REVOLUTION, LLC
Wednesday, October 11
Serial Entrepreneur and venture capitalist Steve Case will be in town next week for his touring Rise of the Rest program, where he visits with local entrepreneurs, start-ups, incubators, and students. The event will tour around downtown Ann Arbor before culminating in a pitch competition where entrepreneurs (including several Michigan Ross students and graduates) will vie for a $100,000 investment from Case. Michigan Ross Dean Scott DeRue will be a judge during the competition and Ross Alum Tige Savage, who started Revolution, LLC with Case will also be in for the event.
BRUCE McDONALD - CEO OF ADIENT
WALTER ROBB - FORMER CEO OF WHOLE FOODS
Though not together, both will be participating in upcoming installments of Professor Gerald Meyer’s Business Leadership in Changing Times course (MO 611). The class brings in CEOs and leaders to talk to students first-hand about what it’s like to manage a business during periods of rapid change. The class is an MBA favorite.

Vishaal is visiting for a discussion on “Perspectives on Corporate Activism” organized and hosted by the Ross MBA Fast Track in Finance program.

COLLEEN HARDWICK - CEO OF PlaceSpeak

These three will be among the many speakers and panelists present during the ENGAGE Undergraduate Investment Conference next week, hosted by the Michigan Interactive Investments student club. The UIC promotes the interaction between students from across the country and some of the most experienced professionals in the financial services industry.
