Recap of Episode One

Coming off of their successful cross-country summer trip with MBAs Across America, two Michigan Ross MBA students will relive the experience in a new reality show set to premiere this month.

Growing America: A Journey to Success will debut on HLN at 9pm EST on Sunday, Nov. 16 (check local listings).

During the show’s six-episode run, crews will follow three teams of MBA students from Ross, Columbia, Harvard, Babson, and Stanford as they work to solve problems for small business owners across the country.

Ross MBA students Stefanie Thomas and Nydia Cardenas will be part of a team with a Columbia Business School alum and one of the MBAxAmerica co-founders on a project with The Social Club Grooming Company in Detroit.

The Social Club Grooming Company was founded by Sebastian Jackson, a Detroit entrepreneur who wanted to bring the unique experience of an old-school barber shop back to the city of Detroit in a sustainable, authentic way.

The show will be hosted by Ty Pennington, former host of the popular ABC TV show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
