Judy Barnes Dooley
Judy is the operations analyst in Executive Education at Michigan Ross. She started in Executive Education in 1996 as a graphic designer and became the operations analyst in 2004. She has extensive experience in process analysis and optimization, flowcharting, and procedure writing. She has managed multiyear software implementations, including defining and writing specifications for custom applications, project management and milestone tracking, and providing user training and support. She provides data analysis and customized reports for the organization.
Judy has a Bachelor of Fine Arts, summa cum laude, from Eastern Michigan University. She has also done coursework at Michigan State University and Washtenaw Community College.
Judy has extensive volunteer experience serving on nonprofit boards. She has served as general manager, newsletter editor, and treasurer for three different nonprofits. Judy is currently an operating officer on the board of the Dexter Community Orchestra, where she also plays in the viola section.
She enjoys the technical and analytical aspects of her work, because at the end of a long workday she still has creative energy left to pursue personal artistic and musical activities. In addition to playing viola in the orchestra, Judy plays in a string quartet with friends each week. Her artistic pursuits include watercolor and oil painting, jewelry making, paper arts, sculpting, and fiber arts.
