U-M Ross School of Business Announces New Master of Management Program
New 10-month, cohort program can be a game-changer for non-business undergraduates looking to stand out in the job market.
Ann Arbor, Mich. — The University of Michigan's Ross School of Business announced today a new Master of Management graduate degree program starting July 2014. The new program is custom-designed to deliver core business fundamentals from one of the world's top business schools to students with a non-business undergraduate degree. The 10-month, cohort-based program is ideal for students looking to add a business degree to a liberal arts, science, or engineering undergraduate degree.
The Ross Master of Management is an intensive, full-time, general management program that includes rigorous study in functional areas of business such as accounting, finance, and marketing. Students will learn the building blocks of business — with a focus on analytical frameworks and tools — along with the communications and teamwork skills needed to succeed. The curriculum allows students to take at least two electives, adding flexibility and customization to the degree.
"Ross Master of Management graduates will head to the job market with a big advantage — a graduate degree from one of the world's best business schools," said Alison Davis-Blake, dean of the U-M Ross School of Business. "In 10 months' time they will master core business fundamentals to create a powerful, multidisciplinary combination of skills and knowledge valued in today's job market."
Consistently ranked among the top ten for the school's graduate, undergraduate, and executive education programs, Ross' new Master of Management program is the latest addition to the school's specialized degree programs.
Students in the Ross Master of Management program will benefit from all the hallmarks of a Ross business degree including action-based learning experiences, award-winning faculty, centers and institutes, global research leaders, career services, and high-caliber peers. The Ross Master of Management application process will open later this summer, with early deadline applications due in November. The curriculum spans 10 months, starting with an intensive summer term. The program is open to candidates with a non-business undergraduate degree and no more than two years of full-time, post-graduate work experience. Applicants with an undergraduate business degree or a minor in business are not eligible for the program.
