While I was born in the US, I grew up in India and spent 7 years in Singapore before moving to Washington DC. For most of my career, I worked at global PR firms, running advocacy campaigns for clients in the healthcare, corporate, and nonprofit space before moving to a global NGO in 2018. While I loved the work I was doing, I knew I wanted something more. I decided to go to business school with the goal of transitioning into a broader organizational strategy role. I decided on Ross early on in the process, primarily due to their focus on action-based learning, but also because of the various social impact opportunities available through associated institutes and clubs. When I visited the school before my interview, I immediately knew this was the place for me - I fell in love with the campus, community, and staff I interacted with. And I was right: since arriving on campus, I've had the opportunity to truly stretch myself, both academically and as a leader, all while surrounded by a supportive, collaborative, and truly diverse community.
