Like many of you, I heard about Ross from family, friends, and alumni. I was attracted to Ross' emphasis on academic rigor in the core curriculum as well as its strong focus on action-based learning. Coming from a primarily liberal arts educational background, I wanted to deepen my understanding of business across a variety of disciplines and to develop a strong personal and professional network amongst my peers. The interdisciplinary academic experience at Ross is second-to-none and provides an excellent platform for students to learn and collaborate in a stimulating environment.Since starting classes, I have been surprised by the diversity of backgrounds of my fellow classmates and the important role this plays in fostering learning and development both in and out of the classroom. Outside of the classroom, I felt Ross offered a wealth of extracurricular opportunities for both professional and personal development in the Finance Club and Ice Hockey Club. Pre-MBA, I worked for four years in fixed income sales at the Royal Bank of Scotland, where I sold and traded investment grade corporate bonds with a breadth of institutional investors. Please reach out if there is anything I can help with regarding the Michigan Ross experience. Go Blue!
