Prior to Ross, I spent four years as a healthcare consultant with Optum Advisory Services in Minneapolis, where I supported business and technology transformations for clients in the health insurance industry. I developed organizational change management and strategic problem-solving capacities and identified a passion for infusing business with social impact. When applying to master’s programs, I considered dual and single-degree programs in business and policy, and ultimately decided that Ross’s interdisciplinary, action-based curriculum would provide sufficient learning opportunities in both areas. The incredibly authentic, humble, and supportive members of Ross’s Consortium community made me feel at home before I even applied. I chose Ross because I wanted to grow my quantitative and qualitative abilities within a community where I felt supported. I also hoped to serve small businesses and youth in the Metro Detroit area (via Detroit Revitalization and Business) and balance my professional goals with those of my partner who applied to graduate programs at the same time. In my free time, I enjoy cycling, running, and exploring new cities with family and friends. I look forward to the opportunity to answer any questions you may have about Ross, and to help you experience the community first-hand!
