I graduated from University of Virginia, where I studied global development. After graduation, I decided to join Teach for America and served in the Atlanta 2012 corps, where I taught middle school special education. After two years of teaching, I moved back to my hometown of Chicago and joined a nonprofit consulting firm where I worked with national and global nonprofits to build sustainable revenue through strategic fundraising and marketing. Here I developed an interest in public-private partnerships and leveraging business to create social impact. Motivated to build foundational skills in business, strategy and marketing, I began my business school search. I chose Ross because of its emphasis on action-based learning and its supportive community.
