After having worked as a Brand Manager among some of the brightest individuals in the retail industry at Abercrombie & Fitch, I knew future success would be contingent on hard work, a positive attitude and the right educational background. Making the decision to enroll in the Ross Weekend MBA program was a no-brainer. Most important to me when selecting a MBA program was flexibility, a strong curriculum, renowned professors and a cohort model inclusive of leaders in all areas of industry. Not only did the program teach me new skills in marketing, finance and strategy but it exposed me to great minds from diverse backgrounds. Most important was what I learned about leadership from my peers coming from every industry. Although my work experience in retail was invaluable, my professors and my peers pushed me to stretch myself as a marketer and strategist. Opportunities like MAP allowed me to experience new industries early on, and gave me the confidence to see my skills were transferable to other companies. After graduation, I joined Ford Motor Company as a member of the Ford Business Leader Program, a general management leadership rotational program that will allow me to continue to develop my skills and fulfill my ultimate objective of becoming a successful leader in an organization.
