In my role as a Financial Analyst at Ford Motor Company, I contribute to a complex industry with many unique opportunities. My first position in Ford’s rotational program involved analyzing cost performance at the Dearborn Truck Plant: home of the Ford F-150. Today, I consolidate vehicle program financials from profit teams across the globe and summarize how each program is performing against our five-year business plan. My results are presented to upper finance management, who use them to drive key business decisions for each program.
As an alumna of the University of Michigan, I bleed maize and blue! I know the expectation set for Ross students to be the leaders and the best. The Weekend MBA Program, however, develops students and demands a level of collaboration like no other program. It immediately drew me in because it allows for reflection on major business issues while simultaneously experiencing their impact in the work place. I was also attracted to the emphasis put on positive business at Ross, which expands the scope of learning far beyond the classroom and into the communities where students live and work. The cohort format of the Weekend MBA helps Ross students create relationships with each other at an accelerated pace – resulting in enhanced group performance and lifelong friendships. I truly enjoy being exposed to and learning from fellow leaders with vastly different backgrounds than myself. Ultimately, the Weekend MBA at Ross combines the intense rigor of a full time program with the fun of weekend socialization – that’s why it is an incomparable education option.
