Class of 2020

After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School in 2009, I spent over 7 years at a flooring company in Columbus, Ohio. I was hired as the director of marketing, but because it was a small firm, the CEO gave me the opportunity to wear many hats. I worked on projects in operations, finance, and HR, and soon realized that I enjoyed the HR work the most. I was fascinated by the way in which the responsibilities of the HR function like hiring, training, compensation, and org structure could have a dramatic impact on employees' engagement and productivity and subsequently the company's bottom line. This was when I realized I wanted to transition into a full time HR role, and I felt the best way for me to achieve this goal would be to pursue an MBA. The Human Capital Club, the Center for Positive Organizations, and the management and organizations curriculum were what made me decide that Ross was the perfect place for me to hone my human capital skills and find my dream career.
