Hometown: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Hi everyone! My name is Jordan and I am currently a senior here at Ross concentrating in finance and accounting with a minor in Asian Studies. I am from Ann Arbor, Michigan so yeah, I moved quite a long way from home. Outside of school, I love sports, specifically football and basketball, and watching movies. If you guys haven't been to the Big House during a football Saturday, I highly encourage it. Hearing the roaring cheers when Michigan scores a touchdown is something that I think everyone should experience and I hope you all get a chance to do so.
My interest in business stemmed from my business competition club that I was a part of in high school. I knew that I wanted to study business and be in Ross ever since I entered high school, but I've been blown away by how great the Ross community truly is. At Ross, I've never felt intimidated when talking to a senior or a professor. When I was recruiting last fall semester, I remember cold emailing seniors so I could ask them about the interview process for certain companies that they also interviewed at and I think that is a testament to how great the culture here is at Ross. Everyone is so willing to help each other out and make sure each other is in the best position to be successful. The classes I have taken throughout these past 3 years have also been amazing. Some of the best classes I’ve taken were ones I never expect I’d like and it's truly been such a fun and welcoming experience. I've had some of my best memories at Ross these past three years and it’s something I will miss a lot once I graduate. From having lunch with Dean Scott DeRue to staying up late with my friends studying for an exam and then going out the next night with those same people, Ross' culture has had such a big impact on my college experience.
I would love to chat with you all about my experience as a student studying business at Ross or the application process and how I got in!
As always, Go Blue and Go Ross!
Where is your favorite place to eat in Ann Arbor and favorite place to travel? My favorite place to eat in Ann Arbor would have to be Sadako. I love sushi and Sadako has so many amazing options to choose from. One of my favorite places to travel is Florida. I try and go once a year with my family and it's always really nice to relax by the beach.
