After graduating from the University of Texas, I moved back to my hometown of Houston, TX to design offshore drilling equipment for GE in their Oil & Gas division. It was a great experience; during my tenure I developed my technical abilities and got to collaborate with talented individuals across every function in the organization, solving multiple business-critical problems. I wanted to make a career switch into consulting, where I can take my passion for problem-solving and apply it to all facets of a business. I decided to pursue an MBA, so I could build a solid business foundation around my technical background.
I chose Ross because of the hands-on learning opportunities. As an engineer, it was a no-brainer! There are plenty of opportunities to take what you learn and directly apply them in real-world situations. Here at Ross, I am constantly amazed by how talented and humble the students are. It truly is a collaborative and diverse community that supports you and pushes you to grow into your best self.
