Prior to coming to Ross, I worked for seven years at BBVA Group, a multinational financial services firm based in Madrid, where I am originally from. There, I worked as a business analyst at the executive chairman's office, where I spent seven years working on projects that covered areas ranging from the technological revolution and the role of the banking industry in promoting sustainable finances to the interaction between the public and private sectors where I offered better solutions to clients. These projects showed me the power that companies have if they devote their efforts to making a real impact in the world. I knew I wanted to become an active player in the change that many industries are making to become more socially conscious and that's when I decided to pursue an MBA. Ross' commitment to using business as a driver of social good, the array of experiential learning options the program offers and Ross' culture made this MBA the perfect match for me. During my first year as an MBA, I was heavily involved in renewable energy initiatives through the Energy Club, my MAP project and my summer internship (working for a VC firm looking to invest in cleantech). The community has proven to be exceptionally collaborative and supportive and there are endless opportunities to design your ideal program. GO BLUE!
