Prior to Ross, I spent seven years working in the retail and consumer goods industries, mainly in supply chain roles. I was most recently at Glossier, a venture-backed e-commerce company that in March 2019 was valued at $1.2 billion. Working at Glossier piqued an interest in understanding how startup companies create effective strategies to support scale. I wanted to pivot my career from operations to strategic planning, but knew there was more I needed to learn. Business school was the right path for me because I wanted to hone my leadership skills and round out my education by getting exposure to functions like finance and marketing. I chose Ross because I wanted to be part of a collaborative community and have the opportunity to learn from peers with interesting and diverse backgrounds.
