Elizabeth Kent

Class of 2020

Before coming to Ross, I worked in the social impact sector in both non-profit and for-profit organizations and, most recently, at a private family foundation. When I thought about starting grad school, I reflected on my career trajectory and tried to understand what elements I was most passionate about. I realized that I was motivated to empower people by cultivating positive, collaborative and strategic workplaces. This led me to learn about human capital, which led me to learn more about Ross (since there's no better place to pursue human capital!). From conversations with current students, alumni and staff, I felt confident that Ross had the community and resources that I would need to make a career transition. I was fortunate to spend my summer in Deloitte's Human Capital practice and will be returning to the firm after Ross. Feel free to reach out if you want to discuss applying as a non-traditional applicant, learn more about human capital, or how to deal with having a long distance partner. I'm happy to be a resource and answer any questions you might have!
