Donald Lindsay

Class of 2021

Originally from Columbus, OH, I moved to the metro-Detroit area after graduating from Ohio University. There, I began my career as an account manager in the automotive industry where I worked for companies such as Harada Industry of America and DENSO International. After four years, my family relocated to Stanford, CA and I switched from automotive to the industrial supply industry as a manufacturing account manager for Grainger, servicing life sciences and food manufacturing companies on the Peninsula. Two years into this role, I decided to get my MBA to hone my business acumen and pivot careers from sales to human resources or marketing. What drew me to Ross was the humility of the students and admissions team, the culture of the community, and the many opportunities to work hands-on in and outside of the classroom. It would be easy for Ross to rest on its laurels, but I've yet to meet someone that has made me feel that the program is elitist. The Ross community is also intentional about being inclusive, collaborative, and supportive, which can be exactly what you need when classes and recruiting are feeling tough. Between the academic experiences, the social engagements, and the offerings of Ann Arbor, it's great to be a Michigan Wolverine. Go Blue!
