I grew up in Bakersfield, California in an entrepreneurial agricultural family. Watching my dad start and grow his own food business instilled similar entrepreneurial and foodie passions in me. I spent my first few years out of school at a natural personal care start-up doing marketing, and then a few years in the natural food space on siggi's yogurt's marketing team. I love marketing, but felt I lacked cross-functional understanding on how our efforts fit into the big picture of the business. I decided to pursue an MBA to gain a broader foundation in business so I could be a better brand manager. Because Ross is strong in so many different business functions, I felt it was the perfect place for me.
