The Black Business Undergraduate Society (BBUS), with support from the Latin American Business Society, hosts DivCO, which features a week of professional development activities that culminate in an internship recruiting fair open to all undergraduate U-M students.
Historically, Ross has been a pioneer in promoting a culture of inclusion on campus and in the surrounding community.
Through courses and engaged learning opportunities in the Center for Positive Organizations, the Sanger Leadership Center, and the Center for Social Impact's U-M Social Impact Challenge, Ross has a demonstrated history of integrating diversity in its academic programs. Ross is a premier partner with Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT), a premier career development institution that equips high potential students of color with the skills, coaching, and door-opening relationships to unlock their potential. Ross was one of the first institutions to join the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management and the Forté Foundation, alliances of business schools furthering the advancement of underrepresented students and women in MBA programs, where we continue to lead today. We consistently welcome the largest group of students among all of the schools that participate in the Consortium.
Ross' commitment to an inclusive culture manifests not just academically but also in its holistic admissions processes and throughout our clubs and organizations. We host more than 70 student clubs and organizations where you can connect with students who share your interests and passions. The Michigan Business Women graduate student club—which also offers a club for undergrads—is one of the largest student groups at Ross, hosting a prominent conference each fall, while the equally active Ross Black Business Student Association hosts the annual Alfred L. Edwards Conference. Additionally, Out for Business builds a strong sense of community among LGBT students and allies at Ross, while the Armed Forces Association advances the role of veterans in business. And more than a dozen of Ross’ student organizations are focused on different countries or regions around the world.
